Jim was my deacons quorum teacher in the Ogden LDS 13th ward. He was a wonderful and inspirational brother in the gospel who impressed me so much as a young man . He used to teach our priesthood lessons and then bring out his myriad WW II black and white pictures of his army service in Europe. He would also take us down to the Paramount Ice Cream after we had completed our monthly fast offering collections and busted the Favero farm for hot dogs, corn on the cob and hay rides. It was indeed an eye opener and very interesting to us young fellows. He must have impressed me enough to be one of he influences on me becoming a career USAF officer for 22 years. Loved the Favero family and their positive influence on me as a young boy. Later, I also completed my LDS Mission in Germany. Thank you Brother Jim Favero. God be with you ` til we meet again. I loved hearing his stories, about the war, his business, his family and above all his love for God. I feel proud to have known him and care for him while he was at Hidden Valley. My prayers and blessings to his family.
