Gigliola Jakarta Lavouer, 52, of Hackensack, passed away on March 15, 2026. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she came to the US in 1988 and settled in Hackensack.

Beloved mother of Rosley Castillo and Jaelle Delacruz. Loving grandmother of Jayle Delacruz. Dear daughter of Radames De La Cruz and the late Rosa Santiago. Cherished sister of Kirsys Santiago, Jorly Lavouer, Juliette Kemp, and Francis De La Cruz.

Gigliola was the life of the party, she enjoyed dancing and singing, and was always funny. When she wasn't shopping, she loved going out to dinner.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, 3-5 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation was private.

Gigliola Jakarta Lavouer, de 52 años y residente de Hackensack, falleció el 15 de marzo de 2026. Nacida en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1988 y se estableció en Hackensack.

Amada madre de Rosley Castillo y Jaelle Delacruz. Cariñosa abuela de Jayle Delacruz. Querida hija de Radames De La Cruz y de la difunta Rosa Santiago. Apreciada hermana de Kirsys Santiago, Jorly Lavouer, Juliette Kemp y Francis De La Cruz.

Gigliola era el alma de la fiesta; disfrutaba bailar y cantar, y siempre se caracterizó por su sentido del humor. Cuando no estaba de compras, le encantaba salir a cenar.

Se llevará a cabo un acto conmemorativo el sábado 28 de marzo de 2026, de 3:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m., en la Funeraria Shook, ubicada en 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. La cremación se realizó de forma privada.
