Gilbert Earl Eggman, 78, of Hobe Sound, FL, passed away November 29, 2014 and is now safe in the Arms of Jesus. He was a former resident of Anderson.
He was born October 24, 1936 in Madison County to the late Eugene & Edna (Carroll) Eggman.
Gilbert was a member of Hobe Sound Bible Church in Florida and attended Memorial Circle Wesleyan Church when he was here visiting. He owned his own company, Gil's Mobile Home Repair in Florida for over 40 years, having retired in March 2011.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa (husband, Jerry) Alexander; grandchildren, Jason (wife, Tina) Alexander and Angi (husband, David) Remter; sisters, Eunice McVey and Linda (husband, Bernie) Hudson; great grandchildren, Landon Fox, Tori Moore, Ashton Seabolt, Ephrem, Zeal, Cael, Elariah, Noble, Ariston, Livyana, Alaisia & Jesara Alexander; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan Fennell, Joleen Bauer both of Anderson, Ivan (wife-Sharon) Bauer of Logottee and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Ruth (Bauer) Eggman; and sisters, Elba Moore and Esther Norton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Clifton Ashlock officiating. Burial will follow at the Bronnenberg Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday, December 2 from 4-8 at the funeral home.
