Gilbert Eiklor

Gilbert E. Eiklor, of Candor, NY, passed away at home on his 71st birthday, January 19, 2026. He is survived by his companion, Rebecca Alderman; his four children, Stephanie (Eiklor) and Christopher Calhoun, Kevin and Tonya Eiklor, Kasey and Kristen Eiklor, Kari (Eiklor) and Drew Crawford; his 10 grandchildren, Emma, Jack, Max and Luke Calhoun, Cooper and Jaxon Eiklor, Zachery Hillman, Teagan Kwiatkowski, Ethan and Morgan Eiklor; the mothers of his children, Cheryl (Coveney) Roggow, and Debra (Rose) Eiklor. He was predeceased by his parents, William "Bill" and Carolyn (Wilber) Eiklor; and a special cousin, LeRoy Eiklor. Gilbert was born in Waverly, NY on January 19, 1955. He worked as a truck driver for 25 years but was truly a lifelong farmer at heart. His greatest pleasure was the time spent outdoors on the hill. Gilbert loved being on his tractor working the land, and took great pride and satisfaction in bailing hay every year. He enjoyed deer hunting, bowling and attending the races at Thunder Mountain Speedway.
