Gilbert Loya Obituary
With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Frank Loya, who was born in Corpus Christi and left us on March 2, 2025. Gilbert was born on August 6, 2021, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to Kirra Ruiz and Travis Williams.
Gilbert is survived by his parents, Kirra Ruiz and Travis Williams; his sister, Isabella Tijerina; his uncles, John Michael Ruiz, Steven Wilson Jr., and Christian Wilson; his great-great-grandfather, Gilbert Loya; his great-great-grandmother, Christina Loya; his great-grandmother, Yolanda Moreno; his great-grandfather, Mario Moreno; his great-grandmother, Gracie Gonzales; and Zulma Olvera. He is also survived by his grandparents: (Mimi) Ashley Santos, his (Popo) Frankie Sandoval, Diana Pecena, Mike Williams, and a host of family members who adored him.
The following family and friends will serve as pallbearers, honored to carry Gilbert's memory with them: Travis Williams, Frankie Sandoval, John Michael Ruiz, Christian Wilson, Pedro Reyes, and Damien Moreno.
A service to honor and remember Gilbert will be held on March 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with the service at 10:00 AM, at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home in Port Lavaca. The burial will follow at Port Lavaca Cemetery, where Gilbert will be laid to rest. His family invites all who knew him to join in celebrating his precious life.
May his memory be a blessing, and may we continue to honor his spirit with love and kindness in all we do.
