Gilbert Anthony Rothermich of Josephville, Missouri, passed away on June 4, 2024 at the age of 93. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Rothermich nee: Ortmann; He is survived by his one daughter, Tina (Doug) Leonard of Creve Coeur, MO; two sons, Tony (Juli) Rothermich of Flint Hill, MO, Jaime (Jen) Rothermich of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Kyle and Jeremy Leonard, Seth Rothermich, Chloe (Alex) Hoff, Claire Rothermich, Olivia, Owen, and Noah Rothermich; sister-in-law, Jackie (Ortmann) Heppermann; brother-in-law, Glen (Rip) (Nancee) Rippeto; He is preceded in death by his father, Edwin (Capp) Rothermich, mother, Veronica Rothermich nee: Wilmes, brother, James (Jim) Rothermich, sister, Mary Rippeto, sister-in-law, Shirley (Wehde) Rothermich, brother-in-law, Leroy Hepperman.
Gilbert was in the Painters District Council No. 2. He served in the US Army during the Korean War at an air base in Bordeaux, France. Stationed with "SCARWAF", Special Category Army Reassigned with Air Force. Gilbert was a 70 year member of the American Legion Post 323.
Special thanks to Francine who was a blessing in our lives, also the staff at Abbey Senior Health, and the staff of Mercy Hospice.
Gilbert will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home -Wentzville.
