Gilbert W. Schindel

Tomah - Gilbert W. Schindel, 50 of Tomah originally of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Alaska. He was born on January 30, 1971, to Calvin and Margaret (Seidl) Schindel in Green Bay, WI. He attended East High School in Green Bay, graduating Class of 1989. On February 11, 2001, he was united in marriage to Tanya Brey. He was the best Dad a kid could ask for and he dearly loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Tanya of Tomah, children, Courtney Carlton (Chad) and Christopher Carlton (Megan) of Green Bay, Michael Schindel of Tomah, and Zachary Greiling of Tomah, 2 grandsons, Christian and Colton Mindak, his parents, Calvin Schindel and Margaret Joslin, sisters, Kathie (Kent) Hicok of Iowa, Stacy (Nathan) Milquette of Green Bay, and Brianne (Justin) Jaeger of Green Bay, father-in-law, Dan (Julie) Brey and brother-in-law, Adam Brey all of Denmark, WI. He was preceded in death by his grandparents - fraternal grandparents, August and Irene Schindel, maternal grandparents, Marcella (Terrien) and James W. Seidl.

Visitation will be held on, Saturday, August 7, 2021,12:00 Noon followed by a service 2:00 PM at the Sonnenburg Family, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah. Online condolences can be offered by visiting www.sonnenburgfamilyfh.com
