Born on October 26, 1948, Gil moved to Flemington, New Jersey, in 1977 and returned to Cody in 2022.
He graduated from Meeteetse High School and attended business school in Powell as well as the University of Wyoming.
Gil served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and received an honorable discharge.
He worked as a computer programmer for Rutgers University and HSBC Bank.
Gil loved the outdoors, especially his beloved Wyoming. He was an avid amateur photographer of flowers, animals, and landscapes, and he took great joy in sharing his photos with friends and family.
He also enjoyed biking in his neighborhood and on trips through the Canadian Rockies, southern England, and Prince Edward Island.
Like the rest of his family in Cody, Gil loved bowling. He also loved playing tennis.
He is survived by his former wife of 45 years, Karla; their three sons, Corey, Christopher, and Collin; his sisters, Angeline Anthony and Barbara Corbett; Barbara's husband, Monty.
