Gilbert Denton Worthy

Gilbert Denton Worthy, 77, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, embraced by the love of his family. He was an avid golf player who when asked about his favorite thing to do would always answer "Play golf." Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Evelyn Worthy; his sisters Frances Robinson, Lorene Upshaw, and Linda Worthy; and his brothers Robert and William Hemphill. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Theresa; his children Tony Worthy(Ragina), Tishanna Worthy Jackson(Julian), Richard Worthy(Terrie), and Cassandra Worthy(Lisa Wolff); three grandsons; his sister Mary Ann Douglas, and his brothers Jackie, Timothy, and Allen Worthy.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for family and close friends. The family suggests that in place of flowers or cards, please send a donation in Gilbert's memory to one of the following:
