LIMA - It is with heavy hearts that we announce, Gina Lee Green, age 66, of Lima, was called to her Heavenly Home on November 13, 2025, at 1:16 am, at Lima Memorial Health System.
Gina was born on July 25, 1959, in Bluffton, OH, to Forrest John and Carol Ann (Huls) Welch, who both preceded her in death. On August 20, 1977, she married the love of her life, Kevin Green, who survives her in Lima.
Gina retired from Mercy Health, where she worked as a receptionist for the occupational therapy and rehabilitation services. She loved her cats Ms. Kitty, and Boots, who was her girlfriend for eighteen years. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. To the kids, she was known as the best "ma" you could find. To her husband, she was lovingly known as "bug" as well as "the best girl in Lima". She will be deeply missed, and her memory will be cherished by many.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Nathaniel (Carla) Green, her grandchildren, Nathaniel, Xavier, and Ethan Green, her great-grandsons, Zacari Green and Jasper Springer, her sister-in-law, Beth (Daryl) Opperman, her brother-in-law, Steve (Twyla) Green, her sister-in-law, Heidi (Wayne) Warren, her brother-in-law, Perry Welch, and her nieces and nephews, Lorren (Tim Hagen) Welch, Nick (Erica) Welch, Chris (Samantha) Welch, and Blair (Akira) Saico.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sherri Welch, her brothers, Chris (Becky Fridley) Welch and Jeff Welch, her father-in-law, Kenneth Green, her mother-in-law, Patricia Lamb-Green, her sister-in-law, Deb Cullum, her sister-in-law, Denise Green, and her brother-in-law, Jeff Green.
