Ginerva Weber Obituary

Ginerva "Ginny" Lee (Koenig) Weber 81, of Forsyth, MT, passed away on July 5, 2024, under the care of StillWater Hospice of Montana and MorningStar Senior Living in Billings, MT.

Ginny was born on August 10, 1942 in Jamestown, ND to Ted and Johanna Koenig. She grew up in Jamestown, ND with her parents and two brothers and two sisters. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1960.

Ginny was united in marriage to Merlyn Weber on October 1, 1960 in Jamestown. Together they raised four sons and one daughter (Jay, Todd, Scott, Neil, Lisa). They were married for 62 years until the passing of Merlyn in May of 2023.

Ginny was dedicated to her family. Her most treasured things in life were her children and grandchildren. She was well known for being a sports mom, traveling countless miles to support her children and grandchildren.

Ginny was a devoted Christian. Her faith was the backbone of her life.

She loved playing cards. Bridge was her favorite game as she would have weekly (if not more) games with the town card players.

Ginny is survived by four sons, Jay (Kim) of Denison, Texas; Todd, of Hill City, South Dakota; Scott (Maria) of Forsyth, Montana; Neil (Vanessa) of San Jose, California; daughter Lisa Gardner (Keenan) of Victorville, California; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and brother, John Koenig (Beth) of Shoreview, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Johanna Koenig, brother Clint (Speed) Koenig, and sisters Darlene Nelson and Evangeline Noll

There will be a celebration of life for both her and her late husband Merlyn at Marcyes Park in Forsyth, MT on Thursday, July 11 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Please no gifts, flowers, etc.

Dear Jay, Todd, Scott, Neil and Lisa,
I was sorry to hear of Ginny's passing. She was such a passionate woman, who loved her family more than anything. Quite a foreign concept for me to grasp. She was always in attendance, regardless of the sport or discipline. Ginny was never not there. We became friends after I left Forsyth ... Not quite sure how it all happened, but I was living in Boston, and I sent her a Cheers Mug. She was a delightful, strong, faithful friend, and a beautiful soul. Her kind heart and gentle spirit made a difference to me. I loved your mom. I can only imagine how much you all will miss her.
