Ginger Coon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 8, 2026.
With deep sorrow and great love, we remember Ginger Coon, who passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 50.

Ginger was a loving friend, fierce protector, and steady source of support for countless people in her life. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel safe, heard, and valued. Ginger lived her life devoted to loving and serving others, always willing to listen, offer guidance, and stand beside those who needed someone in their corner. To many, she was not just a friend but a trusted confidant and chosen family.

Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Ginger believed deeply in caring for others and in the power of community. Through her actions and the way she lived her life, she created a place of belonging for many people who needed it most.

Ginger is survived by her family at Okmulgee County Homeless Shelter, along with extended family and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.

A service celebrating Ginger's life will be held at Redeemer Episcopal Church on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM, with a reception to follow.

All who knew and loved Ginger are welcome to attend and celebrate a life that was lived with generosity, compassion, and deep care for others. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she supported, protected, and loved.
