Ginger Emmett Kiselick, 61, of Davidson, died June 10, 2025. She was born on May 21, 1964 in Gaston County to Kay Warren Emmett and the late Dr. Paul D. Emmett.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband Bill Kiselick, children Maggie [husband Brendan], Mary Catherine [husband J.P.], Philip and grandchildren Baker, James, Mac, Mae. She's also survived by her brother, Dr. Darren Emmett, and his two children Ryan [wife Charlene], Darby, and great nephews, Carson and Ozzie. She is preceded in death by her dear brother, Brad Emmett of Mount Holly, NC.
Ginger was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, aunt and friend to so many. She was a teacher, a workout enthusiast, a volunteer, and a golfer. Known to her family and friends as, "G" or "Ging" she will be remembered as a truly radiant soul whose love, laughter, and light transformed every life she touched. She had the biggest heart and that was on full display through her philanthropic efforts over the years. She volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, built weekly backpacks of food for local children in need, and hosted an annual Christmas Party where attendees would bring gifts and food for less fortunate families.
Her love for life was reflected in the little things she cherished - an early morning Burn Boot Camp workout, walks around the neighborhood with husband, Bill, and dance parties in the kitchen, gazebo and everywhere in between. Ginger had a passion for traveling the world with the love of her life – some of her happiest memories were in faraway cities with Bill and her children.
Ginger was also a dedicated educator. She received two Masters - one from UNC Charlotte and one from Belmont Abbey University. She spent her career as a middle school principal and science teacher in Lake Norman. She is remembered by her many colleagues and decades of students she touched.
Ginger had a gift for making life beautiful. Whether it was through her infectious smile, her vibrant personality, or her signature bright wardrobe, bold earrings and bright glasses or spikey hair, she radiated warmth and confidence and fun. She will be remembered for always having the brightest smile in the room.
Memorials may be made to Our Towns Habitat for Humanity.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 13 at Davidson United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the family home.

First, my deepest sympathies to Bill and family. Ginger was so energetic and happy. I worked with her at Brawley Middle and MMIB and know she was respected and loved by faculty and students. She will be greatly missed.

I was heartbroken to hear about Ginger! I worked with Ginger when it was Brawley Middle and then, I was blessed to be able to work with her again at Lakeshore Middle School. Her smile was contagious. Her energy radiated when she would be around us. Truly a beautiful woman! Prayers to Bill and the family. I am so sorry to hear that we lost a good woman.

I taught with Ginger at Mt Mourne IB. She was upbeat, frank and had a quick wit. She was an outstanding teacher and her students loved her. Her legacy will live on as she influenced the lives of so many. Ginger will be greatly missed. Prayers for her family.

I cannot express how heartbroken we are for you, Bill, and your family. The kindness, generosity, and support you and Ginger showed my son, Matt, when he was in need gave me peace of mind; knowing his Southern mother was watching over him when I couldn´t was such a blessing. Keep the memories close to your heart and may they give you strength. I will be forever grateful to you both.
