Ginger Renee McConnell, 46, of Marietta passed away at 12:10am, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 9, 1978, in Marietta a daughter of Roger L. Moore and the late Kandis Kay Broome Moore and Linda Moore.
Ginger had been employed by the American Cancer Society and later by Pickering Associates as a Billing and Project Manager. She attended Twin Rivers Baptist Church. Ginger Founded "Fire-Fly a Spark of Hope," an organization that collected and distributed funds to active cancer patients in the Mid-Ohio Valley. During it's existence over $80,000.00 was distributed to cancer patients.
On August 19, 2000, she married Tom McConnell who survives with their son Levi of the home, her brother Justin (Jennifer) Moore, her parents Roger and Linda Moore, grandfather Dean Broome and grandmother Opal Moore Myers.
She was preceded in death by her mother Kandis Kay Moore and infant brother Ryan Moore.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (June 4) at 11:00 am at Twin Rivers Baptist Church with burial following in Lawrence Cemetery. Family will greet friends at Twin Rivers Baptist Church on Monday from 2-4 and 5-8. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
