Ginger Marie Whitton

Ginger Marie Whitton, 65, of Riverview, Florida, passed away on December 7, 2025. Born in Tampa, Ginger spent much of her life in Riverview and Homosassa, where she was known for her devotion to family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Ginger touched the lives of everyone around her.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank Whitton, Ginger leaves behind her daughters, Courtney (Jack) Babshaw and Candace (Ken) Morath; her beloved grandchildren, Lyla, Kenny, Madalyn, and Makenzy; her niece, Stephanie (Jeff) Andrews, and great-niece Natalie; as well as her brothers, William "Skip" Evarts, Jeff "Tuffy" Evarts, and Kurt McAnly. Ginger also leaves behind her two cherished dogs, Ella and Lola, who were her constant companions and brought her much joy in her retirement.

Ginger retired after 17 years of dedicated service as a Sergeant with the Florida Department of Corrections, where she made a lasting impact on those she worked with. In her retirement, Ginger devoted herself to her family. She loved being a grandmother more than anything, and her grandchildren-Lyla, Kenny, Madalyn, and Makenzy-were the center of her world. Known as "Gigi" to her little ones, Ginger cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will live on forever in their hearts.
Her legacy of love, strength, and commitment will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be missed deeply but remembered always with love and gratitude.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 20th at 11AM at Providence Baptist Church in Riverview.
