Ginger Lee Witmer

Ginger Lee Witmer, 44, of Pine Grove, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center Cedar Crest, Allentown surrounded by her family.

Ginger was born in Pottsville, Saturday, November 7, 1981, a daughter of Cheryl Sherman Schmitt, Millersburg and the late Paul Schmitt, Jr. She was a 2000 graduate of Tri Valley High School.

She was last employed in the packing department with TE Connectivity.

Ginger will be remembered for her love of butterflies, raising and releasing hundreds over the years. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, being in the outdoors, and hunting. She also had a passion for ancestry, spending countless hours researching her family history. Ginger took great pride in cleaning and refurbishing family tombstones throughout the valley.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Keith A. Witmer; a son, Colyn Morgan, Valley View; her sister, Heather Sherman, Hegins; brothers Scott Sherman, Lebanon, Paul Schmitt III, Hegins, and Michael Schmitt, Tremont; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Karl and Ann Witmer, Tower City; sister-in-law, Kimberly Schmitt, Ohio; brother-in-law, Kurtis Witmer, Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ginger's memory can be made to the Save Our Monarchs Foundation.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Krista Keisling officiating. Ginger will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
