Girishbhai Patel

Girishbhai J. Patel, fondly known as Girish, was a pillar of strength, warmth, and love in the lives of those who knew him. Born in Vehrakhadi, Gujarat, India on June 30, 1959, he spent the first part of his life in India before moving to Jersey City, New Jersey, where he resided for the last 36 years. Girishbhai's story is one of resilience, dedication, and unwavering love for his family and community. His infectious laughter, insightful wisdom, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on the hearts of many.
Girishbhai spent the majority of his professional life working as a forklift operator in a factory. Despite the physical demands of his job, he found immense satisfaction in his work. He took pride in his role and brought the same level of dedication to his hobbies. Girishbhai had a passion for farming, an interest that took root during his childhood in India and flourished in his later years. His love for the land was only surpassed by his love for people. He was known for his social nature, a trait that endeared him to many and allowed him to form deep, lifelong connections.
Girishbhai's life was driven by the teachings of the Hindu faith, as beautifully espoused in the Ambaji verses: "Whatever happened, happened for the good. Whatever is happening, is happening for the good. Whatever will happen, will also happen for the good." He lived by this philosophy, demonstrating resilience and optimism even in the face of adversity. He is survived by his loving daughters, Neepa and Priya Patel, and his caring niece, Dharmista Patel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jashbhai and Narmadaben Patel.
The funeral puja and last rites for Girishbhai will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 9:30 AM EST at Franklin Memorial Park, located at 1800 New Jersey 27, North Brunswick Township, New Jersey, 08902.
