Giuseppe (Joe) Mannino, born on March 8, 1947, in Carini, Sicily, was sent to his eternal home on September 15, 2025, in Mebane, NC after a long battle with COPD and cancer. He was beloved by his partner for over 40 years Teresa Terry who was by his side when he was called to heaven.

Joe is survived by his four children and their spouses / partner, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jack and his wife Flemania and Jack’s 3 stepchildren Demario, Adrian and Gianna, Joseph and his wife AnnMarie and their children Joseph, Liana and Mathew DiNatale and their 2 children Gabriella and Matteo, Frank and Nicholas, Philip and his partner Carrie Daniels and Phil’s children Philip Jr., Anthony and Arabella, and his daughter Christina and her husband Nicholas Soccoa, and their son Nicholas Jr.

Joe is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families spanning from New York, Virginia, Georgia and Sicily. He was predeceased by his siblings (3 sisters and 1 brother) and their spouses and will be reuniting with them in heaven along with his parents Giacomino and Francesca Mannino.

Joe will be remembered as a man who loved to be surrounded by family and friends, enjoyed good Italian cuisine and would love to let everyone know that whatever restaurant food they were eating he could make it better. His broken English accent with a touch of southern charm was one that could make you laugh out loud and his children would love to tease him about. Joe settled in Hillsborough, NC in 1984 where he owned and operated Pino’s Italian Restaurant for several years before returning to his trade as an electrician supervising major projects in the Raleigh/Durham area.

He spent the past 43 years alongside his partner and love Teresa Terry of Hillsborough, NC, and his extended family who he loved and adored, Teresa’s mother Mary Terry, and her brother Frank and his wife Feddie, and their 2 children Nicky and James who were Joe’s godson’s.

Joe spent his final week on earth surrounded by his entire family in New York before heading home to North Carolina on Sunday night. He arrived back to North Carolina and went to sleep peacefully as God took his hand and welcomed him home.

Viewing and services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Walker’s Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
