Giuseppe Remo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and Nonno, Giuseppe Remo, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 93.

Born on September 10, 1931, in Gerace, Italy, Giuseppe brought with him the traditions, values, and deep sense of family that shaped his life and those of everyone around him. After immigrating to the United States, he eventually settled in Hawthorne, NY, following many years in the Bronx, where he and his wife first made their home.

Giuseppe is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Josephine, his loving children, Maria and Joseph (Joanne), and his cherished grandchildren, Anthony (Ashley), Julia, and Sophia. His family was his greatest joy, and his love for them was unwavering.

A man of quiet strength and gentle spirit, Giuseppe found peace and purpose in nature. He had a lifelong passion for gardening and could often be found tending to his fruits and vegetables with care and pride. He had a deep appreciation for nature and a genuine love for animals, which he passed down to his children and grandchildren.

His legacy is one of kindness, humility, and an enduring love for life's simple pleasures. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
