Giuseppe Sciarrino Obituary
Born March 26, 1951, in Carini, Sicily, he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Anna (Amato) Sciarrino. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the Italian Army.
He and Paola moved their growing family to Hawley in 1978. They owned and operated Joe and Lorenzo's Restaurant and Pizzeria, opening first in Tafton in 1982, before moving to Hawley in the early 1990's.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters: Daniela Davis and husband Ralph Davis, Luisa Sciarrino and fiancee Kenneth Maucher, all from Hawley; two sons: Lorenzo Sciarrino and wife Jennifer Webster Sciarrino of Los Angeles, CA, and Marco Sciarrino of Hawley; three sisters: Lina Scarfalloto, Frances Sgroi and Silvana LoBello; two brothers: Vito Sciarrino and Anthony Sciarrino; and eight grandchildren: Aria and Reanna Davis, Joseph and Christian Sciarrino, Ava, Alex and Austin Sciarrino and Avery Maucher.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 PM on Thursday, Nov. 7, at TEETERS' East Chapel, 507 Church St, Hawley, PA. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, Nov. 8, at 10:30 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Interment will follow at Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley.

I was blessed to spend a good portion of Lorenzo and Jen´s wedding night hanging out with Joe. We laughed and told stories about his horses and we both had a blast. I´ll always remember that evening. Joe was a good man and he will most certainly be missed by all. My condolences to the family.
