Gladola Terry, age 93, of Lester, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House with family by her side. She was born June 20, 1931 in Egeria, WV to the late Luther Everett Robertson and Vergie Meadows Robertson.
She was a dedicated homemaker and after her husband’s retirement they opened their own business known as Terry Saw Shop and Lawn Mower Repair. Gladola was a lifetime member of the Church of God and in her younger years she taught Sunday school classes, played the piano, sang in the choir, was a greeter and member of the “Willing Workers”. Her greatest desire was to work for the Lord and to raise her children to serve and work for Him also.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kendall Terry, her son, Gene Terry, daughter-in-law Rita Terry, a grandson, Doug Terry and her sister Geraldine Gertrude Terry.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Wayne Terry and wife Charla of Clinton Township, MI, Janet Snuffer and husband James of Lester, Judy Dunbar and husband Greg of Beckley, and June Blaylock and husband Sam of Oak Hill. One brother Kermit Robertson and his wife, Frances of Jamestown, TN. Seven grandchildren, Jeremy Terry and wife Becky, Janay Snuffer, Kendall Terry and wife Rachel, Clay Blaylock and wife Nicole, Drew Dunbar and wife Megan, Paige Boyd and husband Rich, Aaron Dunbar and wife Ashley, granddaughter-in-law, Andrea Terry, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many cherished nieces and nephews.
A special “Thank You” to her niece Tiffany Goodson and friends, Vicki Birchfield and Debbie Neal for always being there when we needed you.
Services will be held at Calfee Funeral Home on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1pm with Pastor Sam Peterson officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12pm-1pm. Interment service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
