Gladys A. Grossinger, age 100 of Watkins, MN died on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at the Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins, MN. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at the Church of St. Anthony in Watkins. A visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed at www.ertlfuneral.com.
Gladys Ann Grossinger, the daughter of John and Mary (Arens) Looman was born on March 24, 1923 in Kimball, MN. She married Gilbert Grossinger on June 27, 1946 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball. Gladys worked at Holes Webway for 26 years as a printing press operator as well as being a seamstress. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was active in the St. Cecilia Circle. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, collecting roosters and playing cards, cribbage and bingo.
Gladys is survived by her children; Jerry (Sheila) of Cushing, Joyce (Hank) VanderBeek of Gilman, Kenny (Deanna) of Litchfield, Melvin (Judy) of Richmond, Morris (Linda) of Richmond and Wanda (Wayne) Dockendorf of Watkins; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Carole Looman; godchildren Bob Grossinger, Barb Egerman, Krista Matthes and Ted Conradt; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert (1986); parents John and Mary; granddaughter Melissa; siblings Marcella, Donna Conradt, Norbert, Melvin ‘Buck’ Looman; sister-in-law Luella; and brother-in-law Doug Conradt.
