Gladys Krystyniak Obituary

Gladys "Glady" E. Krystyniak, 103, beloved wife of the late Stanley John Krystyniak, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Carlyle Place in Bedford. She was born on January 31, 1922 in Manchester to the late Walenty and Louise (Platek) Kruczek.

Glady was an amazing wife, mother, Babchi, "Big Babchi", aunt and friend. She was celebrated in her family for her strength, steadfastness, generosity, and the best pierogies on earth. Her boundless energy, enthusiasm for life, and her ability to rise above challenging childhood circumstances were inspiring to anyone who knew her. She once described herself as a "survivor", noting "I've had a happy life. I'm most grateful for my wonderful family. THAT is my legacy".

Glady is survived by her three daughters: Susan Proulx and her husband David, Sally Christensen and her husband Douglas, Luanne Krystyniak McConaughy and her husband William; her nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend: Jeanne Sopel.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St. in Manchester from 9:30am until 10:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 207 Hemlock St. in Manchester starting at 11am. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery in Bedford.

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Carlyle Place, who became our second family, and provided loving and compassionate care for almost 2 years. Additional thanks to VNA of Manchester & Southern New Hampshire, Inc. for their hospice care, which provided a high level of comfort to Glady and her family.
