Gladys Murphy Obituary
Gladys Marie Murphy, 87, of Lake City passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1938 in Lake City to the late Jack and Clifford Despain.
Gladys retired from George Jackson Community Mental Health Center after several years of service. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers.
Survivors include her son, Roger Murphy of Lake City; daughter, Regina Collins of Lake City; brother, Richard (Shelby Jean) Despain of Lake City; five grandchildren: Kevin Murphy of Manila, Mark (Sarah) Murphy of Lake City, Shannon (Katherine) Collins of Blytheville, Chelsey (Danny) Seaton of Osceola and one great-grandchild, Stahr Stottler of Jonesboro.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Monette Cemetery, with Bro. Bryce King officiating.
