Gladys Josephine Berryman Sprouse

SPROUSE, Gladys Josephine Berryman, 89, of Richmond, our precious mother, grandmother and nanny, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Timothy F. Sprouse; a grandson, Jimmy Nelson; and son-in-law, Ronald P. Childress Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Childress, and her children, Ronnie, Mike, Tim and Troy; daughter, Joyce Marie Nelson and her husband, Danny, and their children, Byron, Teisha and Melody; sisters, Verna Draucker, Gloria Cliborne and Judy Willis; 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sprouse retired from Philip Morris after 28 years of service, and was a member Shiloh P.H. Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Her funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3400 Courthouse Rd. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
