Gladys Gevieso Urbanozo, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend, passed away on September 6, 2025, after a brave battle with a terminal illness. Born on April 26, 1965, in Maguindanao, Philippines, she touched the lives of many with her kind heart and infectious laughter.
Gladys was a dedicated clinical pharmacist who graduated with honors from elementary to college. She spent 25 years working in Saudi Arabia before moving to San Mateo, California, to be with her husband, Francis. Her passion for travel took her to various places in Asia and the United States, creating cherished memories with her family.
A talented cook and baker, Gladys delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. She dreamed of exploring Europe with her sisters but was unable to fulfill this wish due to her illness. Despite her struggles, Gladys remained strong and positive, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
As we gather to honor her life, let us remember the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Gladys will forever be remembered for the love and warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.
A ceremony to celebrate Gladys's life will be held on October 4, 2025, at 2:30 PM at 977 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA 94402, with a reception to follow at Sneider, Sullivan, and O'Connell's Building Reception Area. For more information, please contact Francis at 650-267-3670.
