I will miss Gladys so much. The last time we talked was on the porch in August. It was a beautiful day and she praised rhe Lord for allowing her to have another day to sit out and enjoy her "good life". We talked about my husband and how much we both missed his antics. She told me to be strong and the Lord would lift me up. I loved her dearly.

There are so many things I could say about my friend Gladys but this venue would simply not have enough room. I have known this very special person almost 35 years. And our relationship was a sincere one. Gladys was funny, passionate, faithful, and dedicated to whatever cause she adopted. And as her obituary stated, there were many. And she and I had one very important thing in common. She simply adored both of my husbands! In a way that was appealing and very sweet. And I think that was mostly because they both had my best interest at heart. So I think, no I know, that she loved me and the feeling was very mutual. It will be hard to travel down Cork Street and not see her on the front porch, waving to all that passed by and I don´t think there were many that she didn´t know. She was, as I often referred her by, the mayor of Cork Street! God bless you dear one! You have certainly earned your place at your Father´s feet.
