Glen Davis

Glen Davis, age 82, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in his home after an extended bout with cancer. Glen was born in Pike County, Kentucky on January 31, 1943, to the late Opal (Senters) and Glen Davis Sr.

Glen attended school in Elkhorn City, KY and worked in coal mines #1 and #31 in Meigs county. He loved his work there and was known as “Grady” to his coworkers until his retirement from AEP.

Glen was a member of Father’s House in Wellston and loved his church family dearly. He was a member of the Orphan’s Friend Lodge #275 in Wilkesville, Ohio. He served in several different offices within the lodge and enjoyed the fellowship with his brothers. He was also a member of the Wagon Wheelers Square Dance Club for many years. Even though he didn’t dance much in later years, he still enjoyed socializing with the members.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Sue and Peggy, and his beloved granddaughter, Mariah Beth; and his great granddaughter, Macilyn.

Glen is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Towler) Davis; sister, Shirley; two sons, Tony (Charlotte) and Bill (Shalina); stepsons, Lance Lyons (Stephanie) and Lafe Lyons. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kale (Brittany), Kaycee (Cody Fout), Korlon (Alyssa) Davis, Adam (Haylee) Davis, Levi, Bralee, and Jacob Lyons; great grandchildren, Mason, Skylar, Karsyn, Emersyn, Renleigh, Kash and Kolter; and special friend and caregiver, Kyla Hutchinson.

Glen enjoyed his life of traveling, especially the winters in Florida. He loved being in his Man Cave and watching Gunsmoke on TV. He enjoyed being with family and friends and playing dominoes. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1-3 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Masonic services will follow at 2:30 by Orphan’s Friend Lodge #275.  Pastor Rick Kincaid will officiate the funeral at 3:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Moriah Cemetery in Oak Hill.
