Glen Dishmon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center on Feb. 27, 2026.
Glen Dishmon, 62, passed away on February 22, 2026, surrounded by loving family. If you knew Glen, you knew one thing for certain - his kids were everything to him. There was nothing he wouldn't do to make sure they never went without. No matter the circumstance, he showed up. Every time.

Glen was hardworking, strong-willed, and as generous as they come. He told you how it was - no fluff, no nonsense - but always with a heart bigger than most. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation and probably crack a joke while doing it. He was funny, loving, caring, protective, and fiercely loyal to the people he loved.

His happy place was hunting camp - especially Unit 9. Those hunting trips weren't just about the outdoors; they were about family, tradition, stories, laughter, and cooking meals that somehow always tasted better around camp. He loved preparing for those trips, cooking for everyone, and making memories that will now be cherished forever.

Glen was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Dishmon; his father, Kenneth Dishmon; his aunt, Maryann Polakiewicz, grandfather Francis Polakiewicz ; and his father-in-law, Roland Knowlton.

He is survived by his children: Amanda (Tim) Shepherd, Andrew (Pim) Dishmon, Zachary Dishmon, and Alexander (Jael) Dishmon. His beloved grandchildren - Peyton, Phoenix, Wyatt, Christian, Colter, Ryelee, Asher, and Avishai - brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his partner, Jackie Bell, his best friend of 46 years, Rene Dishmon; his siblings: Sandra (Bill) Gerhardt, Robert (Stacie) Dishmon, Alison (Bobby) Copeland, and Kenny Dishmon; along with many nieces and nephews he was endlessly proud of and his mother-in-law, Ilse Knowlton.

Glen's legacy is one of love, hard work, loyalty, laughter, and always putting family first. He lived fully, loved fiercely, and left behind stories that will be told for generations.

If you want to honor Glen, take a hunting trip, cook a good meal for the people you love, tell the truth even when it's hard, show up for your family no matter what, and never let the people closest to you wonder where they stand.
