GLOWCZEWSKI, Glen Thomas.
On Friday, February 9, 2024, Glen Thomas Glowczewski (Cindy), passed away at the age 59.
Glen (with 1 "n", as he always liked to jokingly point out) was born on March 24, 1964, to what would become a family of ultimately, 6 wonderful siblings. Glen was the third in line, exceptionally handsome (yes, he even modeled for a time), and stood out with his happy smile, his never ending line of jokes, and infectious laugh. In his younger years, Glen followed a passion he had for hockey, and became an amazing player, skating out of the Romeo Ice Arena for many years. Everyone would agree, he would have made it BIG in the pro's! In spite of his talents, Glen decided on a professional career path in Business, obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Communications from Oakland University. He went on to become a huge success with his charismatic personality and charm in Industrial Machine sales. After working with a few established company's in the industry, Glen confidently started his own business, Glow Enterprises, which is where he stayed for the tenure of his career. Glen's motto was "kick ass, and take names", and that he did!
Glen enjoyed spending time with his many friends; those he grew up with in the neighborhood, and many new friends made later in life. The bonds Glen had with his friends was unbreakable, he was just that "likable" guy that everyone loved. He was a genuine, kind and beautiful soul - he would have done anything, for anyone, anytime a giver, that was just his way. Glen's most special connection though was with the love of his life, Cynthia Miller, who he began dating in October of 2015. Cindy quickly became family, so loved by the whole Glow clan! She was Glen's rock, partner in life and always there for him. He loved Cynthia, so dearly.
Glen also had a deep love for his family. The Glówczewski "clan" was his favorite blessing. There was always so much laughter amongst the 5 brothers, their goofiness together was the highlight of every family gathering and family group chat. He adored the annual family trips to Suttons Bay and Interlochen over the years, jet skiing, beaching, watching the air show, always to end with a big family dinner at Boones, Long Lake. Outside of the Northern trips, Glen could always be found BBQ'g on his beautiful back patio on the weekends with 70's rock playing over the stereo system. He bought the Carriage Hills home he grew up in, so he became the whole family's local "gathering place", it was perfect, as Glen loved to entertain!
Glen is the beloved son of Thomas and the late Janet. Loving partner of Cynthia. Adoring Dad to King, his puppy. Dear brother of Sharon (Gordy) Steele, Al, John (Marylene), Dave (Julie), Carol and Mark (Stacey). Loving uncle of Jose, Andrew, Matthew, Shawn; Kennedy, Kylie; Tyler and Teagan.
