Glen Robert Goddard, 76, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 after his year and a half battle with cancer. Glen was born on April 5, 1947 to the late Sherman and Rita (Willems) Goddard.
Glen married Sharen (Peters) on July 1, 1967 and they shared 55 years of love together. Glen was a hard working man employed for 35+ years by CA Lawton Company/Bay Engineered Castings and later in life found his place at De Pere Foundry where he retired at 67 years old. Glen loved fishing and hunting and being in his happy place, up north. He was active in his younger years playing hockey, bowling, football, basketball and lastly fast/slow pitch softball as a pitcher until the age of 57 years old! Glen loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his family as much as he could.
Glen is survived by his wife, Sharen; 3 daughters: Carrianne (Kevin) Weiss, Deanna (Todd) Weyenberg and Sara Hicks; 5 grandchildren: Jared (Emily) Goddard, Jordan (fiancé, Kody Hofman) Weiss, Jashawn (Madi) Witt, Kelsey Weyenberg and Grace Weyenberg; 3 great-grandchildren (and one on the way!): Garret Hofman, Grahm Hofman and Sonya Schabow and 3 siblings: Beverly Schmitt, Brad (Renny) Goddard and Gerald (Sue) Goddard. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Kay Goddard, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Rita Goddard and siblings: Jean (Harry) Hanel, Roger (Judy) Goddard, Dennis Goddard, an infant sister, Lynn Goddard and a brother-in-law, Cletus Schmitt.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Friday, July 7, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM. A memorial service will follow at 7 PM.
Glen was a strong supporter of the giving the Gift of Life. He was honored to donate a kidney to his brother, Roger in 1979 which enabled Glen to receive his kidney in 2018. In lieu of flowers, please consider becoming a donor in honor of Glen and Roger.
Glen's family would like to thank the team at Unity Hospice, especially Sara, his RN, as well as the staff at Bellin Cancer Center, especially Dr. Torres, for their incredible care and compassion.
