Glen Sirtola Obituary
Glen was born in Ishpeming, Michigan, on July 4, 1945, a son of the late Emil Oscar and Lena Caroline (Ahtonen) Sirtola. Throughout his life, Glen worked various jobs, including employment at Arola's Bottle Works and for Republic Township.
A lifetime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic, Glen found joy in simple pleasures and creative pursuits. He enjoyed woodworking, leather work, and artwork-especially drawing. He also loved riding his motorcycle and playing horseshoes. Above all, Glen cherished companionship, especially that of his loyal dog and best friend, Spot.
Glen is survived by his sister, Candy (William) Johnson of Republic; a nephew, Mark (Vicki) Peller of Ishpeming; a niece, Sherri Peller of Republic; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wayne Sirtola and Gary Sirtola; and a nephew, Bradley Peller.
Honoring Glen's wishes, cremation will take place, and a private service will be held at a later date.
