Glenda Carnley Bivins, 85, of Moultrie, died peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church Moultrie with Reverend Dr. Hugh Ward, Reverend Matt Peek and Reverend Brian Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Glenda’s grandsons, Landon Griffin, Cory Griffin, Kurt Griffin, Chase Willis, Carson Key and Sean Key will all serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on January 16, 1940, in Glendale, Florida, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Carnley and Madonna Golden Carnley. A 1958 graduate of Thomasville High School, Glenda went on to co-own Blanton Auto Paint and Body Shop, where she worked faithfully in the office for many years before later retiring. Glenda was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and welcoming presence that made a lasting impact on all who knew her through the business.
She was also a faithful member of First Baptist Church Moultrie, where her love for the Lord was evident in both word and deed.
Among her greatest joys in life were her family gatherings. Glenda cherished those moments, surrounded by the ones she loved most, creating memories filled with laughter, warmth, and love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Eugene “Bill” Bivins; brother, John Wesley “Jake” Carnley, Jr., and sister, Gloria Holley.
She is survived by her children, Ricky Griffin and wife Amy, Rusty Griffin and wife Mary Jo, Paul Bivins and wife Shannon all of Moultrie, Charles Bivins of Tifton, and Catherine Carmichael and husband Tom of Los Angeles, California; thirteen grandchildren, Melanie Westbrook, Tiffany Griffin, Landon Griffin, Toby Bivins, Cory Griffin and wife C.J., Kurt Griffin, Danielle Griffin and husband Josh, Carson Key, Sean Key, Taylor Willis, Alexis Gibson and husband Caleb, Chase Willis and wife Allison, Caitlin Carmichael; six great-grandchildren, Laila Wiley, Alivia Landrum, Ada Landrum, Braden Griffin, Gavin Gibson, and Wilder Willis; brothers, Robert Carnley of Calhoun, Georgia, Jack Carnley and wife Annie of Paxton, Florida, and Jimmy Carnley and wife Belinda of Lockhart, Alabama; sister, Shirley Robinson of Wewahitchka, Florida; and special caregiver, Pearl Lawton of Moultrie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home & Crematory.
