Glenda Conley Jenne, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
She was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1941 to Nicholas Conley and Margaret Conley Hodge. Glenda was raised in Ashland, Kentucky and attended Holy Family Catholic School and Ashland Community College.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Lafayette Jenne; siblings, Linda Senters, Howard Hodge, and Kevin Hodge; and her son-in-law, Robert Haney.
Glenda is lovingly survived by her sisters Brenda Conley, Paula Irving, and Sue Hodge. To her, family was everything – she was the proud and loving mother of three daughters Theresa Haney, Susan (Tom) Cline, and Kathleen (Jon) Adams. Along with their families they were the center of her world. Glenda adored her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, cherishing each milestone, memory, and gathering they shared. She was a retiree of Verizon (GTE).
Glenda had a giving heart that guided her throughout her life. She was dedicated to her family and she was known for her warmth, humor, and her ability to brighten every room she entered. She truly didn't know a stranger – her door was always open, and her kindness touched countless lives.
She always enjoyed working to help others especially events for children. Giving to others was a favorite thing to do and always had an "I love you" for everyone.
Glenda loved life and the next adventure. She loved to travel and explore new places and cultures with family and friends. She enjoyed making everyone feel welcomed and loved.
Glenda will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, her devotion to family, and her gift of making everyone feel welcome and loved.
The family will be receiving friends 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1745 Benton Blvd,
Savannah, Georgia 31407.
A memorial mass will begin directly after visitation, and begin at 12:00 noon.
