Glenn Robert Bangel

GREENFIELD – Glenn Robert Bangel, age 93, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Greenfield on August 11, 1932, to Wilbur and Lillian (Deerburg) Bangel. He graduated from Warren Central High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950 until 1954. He married Rosalie Y. (Lonzaga) Bangel on September 6, 2013, in Indianapolis. Glenn was a self-employed farmer for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming, driving around, and going out to eat. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Bangel; daughters, Lindsey Bangel and Vicki (Kevin) Lanham; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Lillian Bangel; son, Donald J. Bangel; daughter, Brenda Bangel; brother, Earl Bangel; and sister, Vera Lynch. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Military Rites will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
