Glenn E. Benninger, 76, of Milford, died Thursday morning, July 20, 2023, at home. He was the husband of Shirley (Gulick) Benninger with whom he shared 22 years of marriage.
Born on March 1, 1947 in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Paul and Ruth (Walters) Benninger. He lived in Henryville until 22 years ago when marrying Shirley and moving to Milford.
Glenn worked at Beaufab Mills in Stroudsburg, McGraw Edison in East Stroudsburg and lastly United Envelope in Mt. Pocono from where he retired.
Glenn loved being with family and giving hugs. He was an artist of wood sculpting, loved the Philadelphia Eagles, and also enjoyed camping and fishing.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two sons, Bryan Benninger and wife Alana of Bangor and Shawn Benninger and wife Jeannie of Newnan, GA; three step-daughters, Brenda O'Grady and husband Martin of Milford, Deanna Perkins and husband Jesse of Iowa, and Cheryl Doherty and husband Bob of Lincoln Park, NJ; five grandchildren, Dylan Stager, Ava Benninger, Rowan Benninger, Cole Benninger and Harper Benninger; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dette Benninger of Stroudsburg.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, George Bross.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 26th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with viewing beginning at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM with Pastor Skip Whitley officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery.
