I'll always remember one day southwest of Binh Thuy, we had found some reinforced bunkers and you were working out on them with the 50 cal and we got a call from an L-19 Birddog pilot, and he asked if we were using a 20mm cannon, ha, Lt. Ritchie told them you were using APIT rounds, and the pilot said, oh, that explains it.
Another time was southwest of Tay Ninh when you tried working out on an unexploded bomb from a B52 raid, well, the 50 cal rounds were just bouncing off the bomb so we just stopped and called in EOD to disarm it or explode it in place.
Great memories my friend.

Extremely sadden to hear of Glenn passing, Big Ed as we new him was a kind, gentle and no nonsense guy that would help out anyone that was down on their luck. He will be missed very much, and I will always consider it an honor and privilege to have served with him on Det 7.

Sorry to read this. Ed was a good guy and was my Petty Officer In Charge when I flew with him in Viet Nam with USN SEAWOLVES (HelocopterAttackLight-3) on DET-7 as a doorgunner in 1969. Prayers sent and GOD speed.
