Glenn Dale "Shorty" Harrison

Glenn Dale Harrison was born March 16 1930 in Myra, Texas to Karin Mae Rosson & John Thadeus Harrison He was the fourth of five children. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1948. He joined the Army in 1951 where he learned about how to work on and maintain vehicles. He was honorably discharged in 1953 receiving a Medal of Good Conduct. After leaving the military he bought a full service gas station in Bellevue Tx. Where his Mom and Dad lived. He met Mary Belle in 1959 and they adopted Rodney Dale in 1960. They were Foster parents to multiple children. They adopted Tonja Dawn in 1970. Dad went to work for Dresser Industries in Oak Cliff Tx. In 1963 where he would work until he retired in 1995. He and Mary bought a farm in Canton Tx in 1972, a few years later life would change for them and they would go their separate ways. Dad married Colleen Cummings who made him happy again until her passing in 2007. Rodney & Kim, Cordale, and Mila moved to be close to him so another chapter started. One where he became a Grandpa, a title which made him swell with pride. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and taking care of his animals. He loved his Lord. He passed from this earth on Friday Jan 31 2025 Surrounded by loved ones
