Glenn “Ray” Kilpatrick, 92, of Concord, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord surrounded by his family. 

 He was born May 10, 1932 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to the late Ralph Kilpatrick and Vanena Marie Kilpatrick. He was also preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo Henderson Kilpatrick and a brother Earl Kilpatrick .

He served his country in the United States Navy as an electrician’s mate. After his discharge from the navy, he earned an associate electrical engineering degree. He then worked 18 years at Western Electric in Winston-Salem. He ended his career with 18 years of employment at Duke Power as an associate electrical engineer. 

He was a deacon, usher and faithful member of Pitts Baptist Church. He was a devoted, loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed working in his garden and spending time at the beach. 

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Lib” Taylor Kilpatrick of Concord, NC, daughter, Susan Sink( Mike), daughter Brenda Fink ( David). Also, his grandchildren Matthew Sink (Sherri), Stacy Sink, Kevin Sink ,Breanna Freeze (Tim) Adria Singh (Tim) along with great grandchildren, Tyler Sink, Reese Sink, Harrison Freeze, Hadley Freeze and Josephine Singh. 

 The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Pitts Baptist Church. Following visitation the funeral will be at 11:00am, officiated by Reverend Scott Davis. Burial will be immediately after the funeral at Pitts Baptist Church Cemetery at 140 Pitts School Road NW, Concord NC 28027.

Donations in memory of Ray can be given to the building fund at Pitts Baptist Church 210 Pitts School Rd SW Concord NC 28027 or Gideons International PO Box 1598, Welcome N.C. 27374-1598.
