Glenn Robert Kinney 77,
Claremore, OK went to be with his Savior and Lord on February 4, 2023, at Hillcrest Medical Center ICU in
Tulsa, OK.
Glenn was born September 17, 1945 in
Des Moines, Iowa to Arthur Robert (Bob) and Dorothy (Everly) Kinney. He graduated from Bondurant Farrar High School and received his B.S. Industrial Engineering degree from Iowa State University and held a professional engineering license. He was employed by AK Steel, formerly Armco Steel, as a section manager of planning at retirement and retired in 2003 after 35.5 years. After retirement, he worked at Consolidated Business Products until the business was sold. He then worked at Denny Lumber in
Middletown, Ohio.
Glenn faithfully served his country in the United States Army- Infantry Operations and Intelligence. He achieved the rank of Sergeant from 1968-1970. He served in the Republic of South Vietnam from 1969-1970.
Glenn was married to Sonja Ness and they divorced after 48 years of marriage. He then married his high school love, Patty (Inman) Huen. They have had 6 happy years together. He attended the Prayer Center Church in
Tulsa, OK.
Glenn enjoyed spending time outside doing yard work, gardening, and feeding the birds and the deer, and spending time with family.
He had a very sweet spirit and a loving, compassionate heart and he was always willing to help. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patty; Children, Jennifer (Eric) Flannery and Brian (Judy) Kinney; Step children, Tod (Laurie) Huen, Shelley Bailey, Dusty (Debbie Huen, Kris (Shannon) Huen; Grandchildren, Alexander, Gabriel (Gabe), Danica; 18 Step grandchildren, 17 Step Great grandchildren, 1 Step great great granddaughter; Sisters, Carolyn (Dennis) Martini, Marjorie (Bruce) Petesch, and many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services are on Monday February 13, 2023 at 10:00am with visitation on Sunday February 12, 2023 from5:00-7:00pm at Rice Funeral Service in
Claremore, OK.
