Glenn Alan Ramsey was born on October 17, 1943. He was a devoted husband, loving father and cherished grandfather. He married the love of his life, Brenda, on August 14, 1965 and they have shared many memories together over the 60 plus years.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Brenda Clark Ramsey of Bartlett, TN and his sons, Alan (Jenni) Ramsey of Mason, TN and David (Rhonda) Ramsey of Memphis, TN. Many special times were enjoyed with grandsons Trevor (Megan) Ramsey and Luke Ramsey. Beloved extra family members are Ryan (Haley) & Ryker Bailey, Shelly (Cody) Stageman and Kyle Cacy. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Burrous Ramsey and Mozelle Chapel Ramsey and his sister Linda (Marlon) Shirley of Sharon, TN.

Glenn graduated in 1961 from Sharon High School in Sharon, TN and the University of Memphis in 1967 and 1969. He had a career with the Department of Veteran's Affairs working 22 years with the local VA Medical Center as an educational therapist and as a Coordinator of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services. Before he retired in January of 2005, he served as a planning specialist for the National Program Office of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services (Washington). From 1982-1984, he served as Director of the National Certification Board of Medical Rehabilitation Therapists and Specialists.

Glenn enjoyed singing, fishing and other outdoor activities. As a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, for many years he served as a Deacon and the President of the Pioneer Yokefellow Life Group. He also served in the Car Care ministry, the train ministry, many disaster relief efforts, as well as various other Church committees and leadership groups. Glenn was a beloved Bellevue choir member since June of 1964 (61 years).

Flower memorials are welcomed, or you can make a donation in his name to any of the following ministries: Love Worth Finding, Shepherd's Haven or Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

Yesterday

Glenn and Brenda have been gracious friends to us for several years. When we first retired and moved to this area Glenn invited me to play each Sunday for his Life Group. I had gotten rusty and needed the encouragement to sharpen my gift. Thanks to Glenn for opening the door. We´ve enjoyed choir and senior choir trips together and always enjoyed their company and fellowship. We truly hold them in the highest regard and will truly miss Glenn.
