Obituary
Glenn Douglas Sweatt, 74, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on June 26, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, IN. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday and after 10 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
A memorial luncheon will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Jeffersonville at 4:00 pm on Friday.
Glenn was born on July 15, 1948 in Russellville, KY, to the late Warren G. and Minnie V. Sweatt. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and received an Associate's Degree from Indiana University Southeast. He retired from AT&T and BellSouth where he was a Manager for 42 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley A. Sweatt; children, Sikudhani S. Sweatt (Chere), of Jeffersonville, Master Sergeant Jumaane D. Sweatt (Crystal), of Jeffersonville; sister, Therese M. Sweatt, of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Nevaeh L. Sweatt and Jaden G. Sweatt, of Jeffersonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Expressions of sympathy should take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the church.
