Glenna Moore Obituary
June 24, 1940 - January 22, 2026
Glenna Warren Moore, 85, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away on January 22, 2026 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late J. Arvil and Ruby C. Warren. She was a lifelong member of Cross United Methodist Church and former organist and pianist.
She graduated from Blountville High School and earned Bachelors and Library Science Master's degrees from ETSU. She served 30 years as a Librarian for Bristol, Virginia, public schools at Highland View, Douglas and Stonewall Jackson Elementary.
She was a longtime local member of Embroiderers' Guild of America.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Albert W. Moore; two children, Albert W. Moore II, and Rebecca Moore Crane (Bryan); three grandchildren, Albert W. Moore III, Emily R. Moore (Wyatt), B. Zachary Crane II; two sisters, Elizabeth W. Moore, Georgia W. Morrell; nieces and nephews, Michelle Phillips, Jonathan Morrell, Kathy Knight, Alice Spence, Mack Moore, Patricia Henson, Terry Moore, Sonja Southern, Shawn Jones, Selah Nichols.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, January 29th, at Akard Funeral Home at Bristol, Tenn. Visitation is from 12 to 1 pm prior to the service.
