Glenna Jean Smitley

Jean Smitley, age 92, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026. She was a 1951 graduate of Toboso High School in Hanover, Ohio; retired after 42 years of service in the Accounting Department of Instant Whip. Jean, in her spare time, would crochet blankets and donate them to the children staying at Ronald McDonald House in connection with Children's Hospital. She had a loving personality and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by; parents, Audrey and Clyde Wright; husband, William Smitley; daughter, Michele Williamson; brother, Earl Wright; sister, Twila Williams; and grandson, Parker Williamson. Survived by; daughters, Karen (Hugh) Little and Debbie (John) Fletcher; granddaughters, Heather Harper, Holly Harper, Jennifer (Jeremy) Sewell, Jennifer (Jim) Wasil, Stephanie (Marc) Worthley, Brittany (Cody) O'Dell; grandsons, Bill Black (Allison Whited), Chase (Mikinzie) Black; great-granddaughters, Alaysia, Kallie, Bristyl, Brooklynn, Paisley, Charlotte, Addyson, Lola, London, McKinley, Harper, Oaklynn, Greycyn, Jade, and Olivia; great-grandsons, Jalen, Zyair, Rhyan, Cameron, Eli, Carter, Chael, and Tatum; brother-in-law, Richard Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
