Parish, NY - Gloria Dean Priest Bennett, 85, of Parish, NY; passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by family.

Gloria was born on January 9, 1941, to the late George Nelson Priest and Doris Eva Ingerson. She attended APW Central Schools. She was a mother and a homemaker. Gloria was involved in many community organizations. She was a lifetime member of the Dugway United Methodist Church where she devoted much of her time to church functions. She enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping, traveling with family, and especially spending time with all her grand and great grand kids. She will be missed by many family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Doris; four brothers, George, Alfred, Edward and James and two sisters, June and Joyce.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward Stanley Bennett, nine children, Randy Bennett (James Piazza), Rickey Bennett (Jamie), Tammy Bennett, Jackie Bennett, Ted Bennett (Chris), Heidi Phillips (Jeff) Peggy Bennett (Beth Rourke), Michelle Lamanna (Jason) and Craig Bennett (Caterina);14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, her brother, Ronald Priest, sister, Shirley Cole Shepard, several nieces and nephews and her special friend and caregiver, Kim Harrington.

Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Dugway United Methodist Church. Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling Hours from 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 2983 W. Main Street, Parish, NY. Spring Interment will be in Dugway Cemetery.

A special thanks to all her doctors and nurses, especially in the IR department, for their compassionate care of our mother.
