Gloria J. Blocker, daughter of Henry Grigley and the late Hattie Lee Miller, was born on March 20, 1947, she was the second of seven children. She was preceded in death by her mother, one daughter, Kim, and brother-in-law, Lionel. Gloria confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. Gloria was educated in St. Louis Public Schools. Gloria united in holy matrimony to George Blocker, Jr. This union was blessed with six children. Later, Gloria met and fell in love with Kenneth Richard Dickerson, Sr. along with two special children, Zina and Kenneth Jr. Gloria began her career with St. Louis Housing Authority and later was employed with the Department of Corrections at the St. Louis City Jail. Gloria was strong willed and loving mother. She instilled in her children family love, support, and strength for each other. She had a passion for shopping and traveling. She also enjoyed socializing. She was the founding member of the Mystic Ladies Social Club. Saturday, April 11, 2009, Gloria was called home to meet Jesus. Her legacy continues through her family and friends. She leaves to celebrate her home going; two sons, Keith and Kelvin; three daughters, Bridget, Carla, and Robin; eight grandchildren, Ke'Yonya Thedford; six siblings, Gladys, Betty, Annette (Chester), Louise (Marvin), James (Karen), and Denise; four special sisters, Lillian, Virginia, Linda (Charles) and Irene (Joe), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
