Ms. Gloria Davis Teal, age 77, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2025 at Mcleod Regional Medical Center of Florence. A celebration of life memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Ms. Teal was born on May 16, 1948 in Georgetown, South Carolina. She was a daughter of the late James Franklin and Azilee Brewington Davis. Known for her outgoing personality, Gloria was a people person, although not a people pleaser; she loved to smile and laugh-even sometimes at the expense of others! Gloria enjoyed music and dancing, and spending time with her feline companion, “Austin”. She was a proud property manager, having completed her business certificate and passing rigorous licensure examinations.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Teal was preceded in death by a daughter, Yolandra Davis; and brother, James Charles Davis.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Teal of Charlotte, NC; sister, Cynthia (Ronnie) Maxwell of Cheraw, SC; sister of the heart, Rosa Gomez; niece, Melonie (Chris) Tarlton of Mt. Croghan, SC; nephew, Lee (Amy) Maxwell of Florence, SC; and several cousins.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, staff and techs of Mcleod Health-Cheraw and Mcleod Regional Medical Center of Florence, for their exceptional care and support. A special appreciation is for nurses Gracie and Anna Bella for your kindness in going above and beyond.
