Gloria Downs Obituary
Graveside funeral services for Gloria Jean Downs, age 74 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tim Powell will officiate.
Mrs. Downs was born April 2, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of the late George Eason Thigpen and Lonie Sterling Thigpen. She was a retired manager at Dairy Queen. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church. Mrs. Downs passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Dublinair Nursing Home and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Downs is survived by her husband, Daniel M. Downs of East Dublin; 2 sons, Daniel Anthony Downs of East Dublin and Shawn C. Downs of East Dublin; 2 sisters, Stella Clyde Graham of Soperton and Delores Thigpen Graham of Dublin; and 2 grandchildren, Daniel Downs and Derek Downs.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
