On Friday, October 27, 2023, Gloria R Erpenbach, of Billings, passed away peacefully of natural causes at the age of 96.
Gloria was born to Hans and Agnes (Myhre) Jensen in
Hardin, MT on November 14, 1926. After graduating high school in Hardin, she traveled and worked miscellaneous jobs.
While working for Mountain Telephone and Telegraph, she met and married Matt Erpenbach in
Red Lodge, MT on July 05, 1952. Together, they raised 3 sons, Greg, Lee, And Terry. The family enjoyed being outdoors traveling, camping, fishing, hunting, and playing cards.
After raising her 3 sons, Gloria went back to work at Mountain Bell. Gloria and Matt both retired from Mountain Bell in 1982. After retiring, Gloria and Matt traveled around the US. Gloria and her sister Marie traveled to Norway, Denmark, and Sweden to visit her parent's relatives.
Gloria also worked part time for Hart Albin's and Elliott's Furniture making drapes.
Gloria enjoyed her time volunteering at her church, Deaconess Hospital, and the Billings Senior Center. Gloria also knitted mittens and caps for kids for many years for Billings area schools.
Gloria is survived by Greg (Willeen) Erpenbach.
Gloria was proceeded in death by husband Matt, sons Lee and Terry, and siblings Henry, Marie, Agnes, Blanche, Harold, and Barbara.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Heights Family Funeral Home, 733 West Wicks Lane, on Friday November 03, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
