Gloria Valdez Greider, 70, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2025. Born on July 12, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, Gloria was the daughter of Joe A. Valdez and Enriqueta (Henrietta) Valdez and the older sister of Joe E. Valdez. Known for her generous and caring spirit, Gloria devoted her career to helping others as a licensed vocational nurse. She cherished time with family and friends and had a deep love for animals, always surrounding herself with pets. Gloria will be remembered for her infectious laughter, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Enriqueta Valdez and her brother Joe Valdez. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Hilda Valdez, and her nephews, Joseph, Matthew, and Alex Valdez. She is also survived by Velia Moya, who shared a bond with Gloria like that of a beloved niece and dear friend. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at the Alamo Funeral Chapels. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church. Services will conclude after the mass.
